Shiv Sena (Uddhav Bala Saheb Thackeray) MP Sanjay Raut said on Sunday that it is necessary to have an alliance between his party chief Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray and this alliance will “new direction” to the state.
In his weekly column ‘Rokh Thok’ in the mouthpiece Saamana of Shiv Sena (Ubatha), Raut also claimed that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nothing to do with the fight of Maharashtra’s unity and Marathi “Asmita”.
He alleged, “BJP’s policy is first robbed Mumbai, then making Mumbai a union territory and playing a separate Vidarbha game and ending the existence of Maharashtra.”
Raut said that people were not forgotten to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, when he was seen with placards with a message ‘Vidarbha Mera’s only state’ during the agitation in Nagpur.
The Rajya Sabha member said that if the unity of the Thackeray brothers and his leadership does not remain intact, then Mumbai will “go into Adani-Lodha’s pocket” and one day Mumbai will not be a part of Maharashtra.
In April, MNS leader Raj Thackeray, along with his cousin Uddhav Thackeray, indicated a possible political union. Raj Thackeray had said that his previous differences were “modest” and united for the widespread interest of “Marathi Manush” (Marathi people) is not a difficult task.
After this, Uddhav Thackeray said that he is ready to forget small quarrels, provided not supporting those working against Maharashtra’s interests. After this, the matter of coming with the two Thackeray brothers was strengthened.
Sharing a political platform with the MNS chief for the first time in about 20 years on July 5, Uddhav Thackeray said that he and his cousin Raj Thackeray have “come together to be together”.
The development took place after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -led government withdraws two government orders (GR) to implement Hindi language in class one.
Raut claimed that on July 5, the cousin Raj and Uddhav have aroused faith in ‘Marathi Manush’.
He said, “This does not mean that all issues of Marathi Manush have been resolved. All the problems of Marathi Manush remain the same. Thackeray Bhai came together against imposing Hindi, but (between the two parties) the political alliance is yet to be announced. It is necessary to have an alliance. Only then Maharashtra will get a new direction. ‘
He said that if someone is confused that Thackeray will come under any kind of pressure, then he is foolish.
Raut, pointing to the BJP, claimed that the unity of the Thackeray brothers has shaken the rulers of Delhi and Maharashtra.
The Shiv Sena (Ubatha) leader said that Chief Minister Fadnavis has met Raj Thackeray to warm the political atmosphere. He said that the MNS president will talk on this and will remove confusion.
Fadnavis and Raj Thackeray met at a hotel in Mumbai last month.
