Amid discussion of increasing differences with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Friday that no one should take him lightly, and he indirectly mentioned the demolition of the former Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. .
Talking to reporters in Nagpur, he said that it is a warning for those who are able to understand. He said that he has been a worker of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray and Shiv Sena leader late Anand Dighe.
Shinde, probably mentioning the fall of the MVA government led by Uddhav Thackeray, said, “In 2022 I overturned those people who took me lightly and we brought a new government who settled in the hearts of the people who settled in the hearts of the people. Is.”
He became the Chief Minister by dividing Uddhav Thackeray -led Shiv Sena and alliance with BJP.
Shinde, who is leading the Shiv Sena, said, “The double engine lasted at full speed and I and Devendra Fadnavis said that we would win more than 200 seats.” We won 232 seats (in 2024 assembly elections). ”
He said, “Don’t take me lightly. For those who understand this, this sign is enough. I will continue my work. ”
However, both Shinde and Fadnavis have denied that there are any differences, but recent developments suggest that stress is increasing.
After the last year’s assembly elections, Shinde (in the new government) had to agree to change his role and Fadnavis, who was his deputy (Deputy Chief Minister) in the previous government, was made the Chief Minister.
NCP leader Aditi Tatkare and BJP’s Girish Mahajan were appointed as the minister in charge of Raigad and Nashik districts respectively as Shiv Sena leaders expressed their displeasure at this.
Both appointments were canceled and Fadnavis has not yet taken any new decision.
Both Deputy Chief Ministers – Shinde and NCP leader Ajit Pawar have established Project Monitoring Cells to monitor the progress of projects in those districts.
However, the Chief Minister already has its ‘war room’ to monitor major projects.
Chief Minister Relief Fund – which helps the needy patients – was already present, but Shinde established his own medical aid cell.
Shinde has also stayed away from several meetings convened by Fadnavis, including a meeting of the Nashik Regional Development Authority to discuss the preparations for the 2027 (Nashik) Kumbh Mela in the city of Northern Maharashtra.
He held a separate meeting in Nashik, in which Minister Girish Mahajan was absent from BJP quota.
After Fadnavis held a review meeting of the Department of Industries, Shinde recently held another meeting. The Department of Industries is headed by Shiv Sena Minister Uday Samanta.
The discussion of increasing tension in relationships intensified when the Fadnavis -led Home Department reduced or withdrawn police security of 20 Shiv Sena MLAs.
After the Shiv Sena’s partition in the year 2022, he was given a security cover.
Earlier this week, Shinde had said that no “cold war” is going on between him and Fadnavis.
