Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday that the Naxalites will not get rest even during the monsoon as the campaign against them will continue during the rain.
He appealed to the Maoists to leave the weapons and join the development journey and refused to negotiate any kind of talks.
Shah laid the foundation stone of the National Forensic Science University (NFSU) campus and Central Forensic Science Laboratory at Nawa Raipur Atal Nagar, Chhattisgarh.
Shah said, “Every time the Naxalites used to get rest during the rainy season (because the swollen rivers obstruct the anti -Naxal operations inside the dense forest), but this time we will not let them sleep during the monsoon and we will move forward towards achieving the target of 31/3 (2026 to eliminate Naxalism).”
He appealed to Naxalites to surrender and take advantage of “profitable” surrender policy.
He said, “Get weapons and join the journey of development; there is no need for talks. Just leave armed conflict and join the mainstream.”
He said, “I wholeheartedly welcome all those who have joined the mainstream by putting up arms and assuring them that the Chhattisgarh government and the Center will fulfill all the promises made to them and we will try to help you even more.”
Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to make India a developed country by 2047.
He said, “This includes not only innovation, infrastructure, industrial and economic development focusing, but also ensuring timely justice and will help ensure three new laws (Indian Code of Justice of Justice of Justice, Indian Civil Protection Code and Indian Evidence Act) to ensure timely justice.”
