Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Anurag Thakur on Saturday accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal of making excuses instead of fulfilling his promises. Thakur said that ‘Kamal’ will bloom in Delhi.
The former Union Minister, while addressing election rallies in Mustafabad and Okhla, alleged that Kejriwal did nothing but misleading people in the last 11 years. He said that the public is ready to remove him from the post and form the BJP government. Thakur said, “For 11 years, Kejriwal made only false promises.”
He said, “He (Kejriwal) claimed that he would clean the air of Delhi, but the pollution has become worse.” He vowed to clean the Yamuna and take a dip in it, yet the river remains very polluted. He promised clean drinking water, but people are still struggling with the supply of contaminated water. He promised good roads, but under the rule of ‘AAP’, the roads of Delhi have become in a bad shape. ‘
Thakur alleged that despite Kejriwal’s promise to improve the sewage system, there is a problem of dirt in the capital.
He said, “The people of Delhi have made up their mind… This disaster called ‘AAP’ will be removed and ‘Kamal’ (BJP’s election symbol) will blossom.” The BJP leader also accused Kejriwal of being anti -Dalit.
