Arvind Kejriwal: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a big announcement of resigning from the post of Chief Minister after two days. He has also demanded immediate assembly elections in Delhi. Along with this, he has also announced that now he will assume the post of Chief Minister only after getting a certificate of honesty from the court of the people. This is being seen as a big political move by Kejriwal.
On the other hand, after Kejriwal’s resignation announcement, BJP has become aggressive. Ever since Kejriwal’s name came up in the Delhi liquor scam, BJP has been demanding his resignation. After Kejriwal’s announcement, BJP has launched a big attack. Party leader Sudhanshu Trivedi has raised questions on Kejriwal not resigning immediately. He asked why Kejriwal needs 48 hours to leave the post of Chief Minister? A BJP leader has even said that during the next two days, Kejriwal will try to convince Delhi’s AAP MLAs in the name of his wife.
Why do you need two days to resign?
After Kejriwal’s announcement of resignation, BJP has showered questions on AAP and Arvind Kejriwal. Party leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said that Kejriwal has definitely announced his resignation but he needs 48 hours to resign. After all, why has he asked for two days to resign?
Sudhanshu Trivedi said that Kejriwal is trapped in a serious case of liquor scam in Delhi. He should have resigned immediately after his arrest. After all, why did he not resign from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi while he was in jail? Now that he has announced his resignation, he needs two days for this also. He asked whether Kejriwal wanted to settle something after coming out of jail and that is why he did not resign from jail.
Forced to resign due to division in the party
The BJP leader also told the reason for Kejriwal’s resignation. He said that the truth is that Kejriwal was forced to announce his resignation. Actually, a situation of division has arisen in the Aam Aadmi Party and due to this Kejriwal was forced to announce his resignation from the post of Chief Minister.
He said that it was becoming difficult for the Aam Aadmi Party to manage its leaders and workers. There is widespread discontent in the party and that is why Kejriwal has announced his resignation to handle the situation.
The resignation announcement was described as a PR stunt
BJP has been attacking Kejriwal and his government on the issue of corruption for a long time. The party says that Kejriwal had promised to stop corruption if his government is formed but the truth is that Kejriwal’s government is neck deep in corruption. He has certainly got bail from the Supreme Court but the apex court has also imposed many conditions on him.
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said that the resignation announcement is nothing but a PR stunt by Kejriwal. Kejriwal has realized what kind of image he has created among the people of Delhi. The people of Delhi now consider him a corrupt leader rather than an honest leader. Through his PR stunt, Kejriwal wants to improve his image once again.
Preparations to implement Manmohan model
The BJP spokesperson said that Kejriwal actually wants to implement the Manmohan model in Delhi. Congress had made Manmohan Singh the Prime Minister but Sonia Gandhi was running the government from behind the scenes. Now the same situation is going to be seen in Delhi as well. The people of Delhi cannot vote in his name. That is why he wants to make someone else a scapegoat.
Asked for two days time to make his wife CM
BJP leader Maninderjit Singh Sirsa said that Kejriwal’s announcement of resignation is not a sacrifice. In fact, the Supreme Court has made it clear that Kejriwal cannot go to the Chief Minister’s office and cannot sign any file. Therefore, he has no option left except resigning. Kejriwal has been forced to resign due to the conditions imposed by the Supreme Court.
Sirsa said that Kejriwal has asked for two days’ time to resign with a well thought out strategy. Actually, during these two days, he will try to convince the Delhi MLAs in the name of his wife Sunita Kejriwal. Kejriwal wants his wife to become the Chief Minister after him and that is why he has asked for 48 hours.
