Assam Violence : There is a news of relief amidst the violence that has been going on in Northeast India for the past several decades. In fact, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Wednesday between the Government of India, the Government of Tripura, NLFT (National Liberation Front of Tripura) and ATTF (All Tripura Tiger Force). This agreement was signed in North Block, Delhi in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and other officials. After this agreement, it is believed that peace will be established in the region, for this the central government is constantly making efforts. In the past few days, agreements have also been signed with many organizations, due to which some reduction in violence has definitely been seen, but once again the Northeast has come under the grip of violence, due to which hundreds of civilians have lost their lives.
Insurgency and violence are not new in Northeast India, unrest has been seen here for many decades. The central and state governments try to negotiate and make agreements between the militant organizations here, despite this unrest is being seen. The government is continuously negotiating to control the unrest that has been going on for a long time. Immediately after the formation of the Modi government for the third time at the Center, the initiative for Assam peace has started, the effect of which is now visible. The Home Ministry had said in a statement that the Home Ministry is working tirelessly to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a developed Northeast free from insurgency, violence and conflict. Under the leadership of the PM, the government has signed 12 important agreements for peace and prosperity in Northeast India, three of which are related to Tripura. It was further said that the central government has signed several agreements, due to which about 10,000 people have given up their weapons.
