Delhi BJP said that an accident occurred on Wednesday during a public hearing at Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s residence at Civil Lines. The Chief Minister was suddenly attacked by an unknown person. The Aam Aadmi Party has also responded to this.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has condemned the “attack” on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, as the police investigation is underway.
Delhi BJP said in a statement, “An accident occurred during a public hearing at the Chief Minister’s residence in Civil Lines. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva strongly condemns the attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during a weekly public hearing. The police investigation will reveal the case.”
Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, “I strongly condemn the attack on the CM during the public hearing. She worries about Delhi day and night. It is a conspiracy of opponents, she is not tolerated that one CM should stay among the public, meet people at their residence. So, a political plot behind it is a political plot.
Former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi also sleep in strong words of this attack.
He wrote in his post on X, “The attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is extremely condemnable. There is a place of disagreement and protest in democracy, but there is no place for violence. Hopefully, Delhi Police will take strict action against the culprits. Hope the Chief Minister is completely safe.”
Delhi Congress chief Devendra Yadav also condemned the alleged attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and described the incident as “unfortunate”.
He said that the Chief Minister leads the entire Delhi. Yadav also questioned the security of the Chief Minister of Delhi and said that if he is not safe in the state, then who else is?
Devendra Yadav told ANI, “This is very unfortunate. The Chief Minister leads the whole of Delhi and I think such incidents are condemned as much as it is. But this incident also opens the pole of women’s safety. If the Chief Minister of Delhi is not safe, how can the common man or common woman be safe?”
On Tuesday, CM Gupta visited the residential area at Yamuna Bazar, where the water of the Yamuna river has entered. He assured that there is no flood -like situation in Delhi and the water level will be reduced within one to two days.
After assessing the affected area, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, “The situation is under control. The water level was close to 206 meters in the morning, but it has not been able to cross this level yet. Water will be reduced in a day or two. We are providing medical facilities along with food and water. There is no flood situation in Delhi.”
He said that the administration has made arrangements for those people who want to go to a safe place, they are being provided with living space and food, as well as all necessary assistance in the affected area.
