Rohtak, August 29 (IANS). BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj on Thursday participated in a women empowerment program organized in Rohtak, Haryana. During this, she launched a big attack on Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee.
He said that every daughter can feel the pain of the incident that happened in Bengal. Mamata Banerjee herself is the Chief Minister, Home Minister and Health Minister of West Bengal, then from whom is she seeking justice. Mamata Banerjee’s government and the administrative staff there are engaged in erasing evidence. They are trying to save the culprit. They are trying to give the rape incident the cover of suicide, why is the entire system there trying to save the culprit.
He said that the way CM Mamata Banerjee has given a statement in a warning tone is condemnable. It is not appropriate for a Chief Minister holding a constitutional post to give such a statement. Mamata Banerjee is not performing the duty of being the Chief Minister and instead of getting justice for the girl, she is engaged in protests. She is deviating from the path of justice and religion. She does not understand what to do next. Instead of giving justice to the victim, Mamata is believing in protests.
He said that Manipur is a very sensitive issue and our government has dealt with it with sensitivity. PM Modi and the Union Home Minister had given statements on this issue. Prime Minister Modi had put forth his views on this issue on the floor of the House, but the opposition is busy doing politics.
Let us tell you that recently a female doctor of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital was found dead under mysterious circumstances. She was a postgraduate second year medical student in the hospital and was also working as a house staff in the Chest Medicine Department. The hospital staff found her dead body on the fourth floor of the hospital’s emergency building.
While addressing a program yesterday after massive protests on this issue, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, “Remember, if Bengal burns, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Delhi will also burn.”
There is a political uproar over his statement. Leaders of other states including Bihar are criticizing the Chief Minister.
