Azam Khan News: Samajwadi Party leader and former MP Azam Khan issued a message from jail on Tuesday, accusing the India alliance of ignoring Muslims. Expressing deep concern over the developments in Rampur and Sambhal and the conspiracy to weaken the Muslim leadership, Azam Khan said, the atrocities in Rampur should be raised in Parliament as strongly as the issue of Sambhal. The Rampur incident is part of an attempt to erase Muslim leadership and the India Alliance’s silence on these incidents may force Muslims to reconsider their future and rights. He also said that if the vote of Muslims has no meaning and it is becoming a cause of oppression for them, then they will have to consider whether their right to vote should remain or not.
Azam Khan alleged that as part of a conspiracy, Muslims are being isolated and efforts are being made to eliminate religious places by making them controversial. Azam Khan has demanded the Indian alliance to openly clarify its policy and position. The SP leader further wrote, the rights of helpless, isolated and alone, bathed in ashes and blood, the places of worship have to be ended by making them controversial. The rest of the population of the country cannot be destroyed and annihilated just for the sake of conspiracies, conspiracy theorists and show-off sympathy.
Orders were given to survey the mosque in Sambhal on 19 November. Subsequently, when the survey team reached the spot on 24 November, violence broke out, in which 4 people lost their lives. It is noteworthy that SP has raised the Sambhal issue in Parliament, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has met the families of the victims of Sambhal violence in Delhi. Now it will be interesting to see how Samajwadi Party, Congress and India Block react to Azam Khan’s letter.
