Jammu News Desk !!! Before the Jammu and Kashmir elections, a big statement of former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has come to the fore. Omar Abdullah says that he is going to knock the doors of the Supreme Court soon. The reason for this is Article 370. According to Omar Abdullah, bringing back Article 370 is undoubtedly a long battle now. But we will get the status of a state for Jammu and Kashmir.
PM Modi had promised
In an interview to India Today, Omar Abdullah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had stood in Parliament and promised the whole country that the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir would be restored. It has been 5 years since Article 370 was removed, but still Jammu and Kashmir has not been able to get its statehood back. The Supreme Court assured the public in addition to the Government of India. The government should restore the full statehood status of Jammu and Kashmir. If this does not happen, we will knock the doors of the Supreme Court.
CM’s powers will be limited
Omar Abdullah says that after the elections are over, the powers of this assembly will be limited to a great extent. The Chief Minister will not be able to take independent decisions. This is not the assembly we want. But the path to that assembly will also pass through this assembly. We will have to pass a resolution in the assembly that what happened to us on 5 August 2019 is not acceptable to us and we were not a part of that decision.
Breaking the Silence on Anxiety Attacks
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has also expressed concern over terrorist attacks. Omar Abdullah says that terrorist incidents are taking place in such places in the valley which never happened before. Terrorist attacks are being seen in Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Reasi, Doda, Poonch and Rajouri. Dealing with terrorism will be a big challenge for the incoming government and the Chief Minister.
