The Congress on Friday took a sarcasm at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the alleged statement of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s retirement at the age of 75, saying that what is the return home for the PM that Sarsanghchalak reminded him that he would turn 75 this year when he returned from abroad.
In fact, during an event in Nagpur on Wednesday, RSS chief Bhagwat referred to the statement of the union thinker leaving the post after the age of 75 years.
Bhagwat specifically mentioned Pingale’s comment that when a shawl of 75 years of age is put on you, it means that you have reached a certain age and you should move aside and let others work.
Congress general secretary and communication in -charge Jairam Ramesh said in a post written in Hindi on X, “Poor Award -Lup Prime Minister! What is this home return – Sarsanghchalak reminded him that he will turn 75 on 17 September 2025.”
He said, “But the Prime Minister can also tell Sarsanghchalak that on 11 September 2025 he too will turn 75! One arrow, two targets!”
