Honored for work during Corona period
After inducting Jitendra Singh Shanti into the party, Arvind Kejriwal said that Jitendra is known as ‘ambulance man’. He has cremated more than 70,000 dead bodies with dignity. During the Covid period, when people were hesitant in taking the dead body, their family members accepted the dead body and performed the last rites. He also became a victim of Covid, even when his family also got infected with Corona, he continued his mission. For this he was awarded Padmashree. He has come to serve in politics. His joining will strengthen the Aam Aadmi Party. He is heartily welcome to the party.
Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to serve people
Jitendra Singh Shanti expressed his reaction after joining Aam Aadmi Party. He said that he is grateful to Arvind Kejriwal. I had gone far away from politics, but God gave me a chance to serve the people during the Corona period. One day I got a call from Arvind Kejriwal and said that you perform the last rites of unclaimed dead bodies. He also expressed his desire to sacrifice himself in this yagya. Couldn’t say anything at that time. Now I have decided to join politics along with my family and loved ones. Once again I have got a chance to serve the public. I and Arvind Kejriwal have one thing in common that we both follow the ideology of Bhagat Singh.
