Bihar: Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha washed the feet of sanitation workers in Jamui.

Jamui, 14 November (IANS). Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha and state BJP President Dilip Jaiswal started the cleanliness campaign by washing the feet of sanitation workers during a program organized in Jamui on Thursday.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha and State BJP President Dilip Jaiswal honored the elderly sanitation workers by washing their feet as part of the cleanliness campaign in Jamui. Before the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jamui, a program of cleanliness campaign was organized at Shri Krishna Singh Stadium in the city.

After this, both of them also paid homage to the Ambedkar statue located at Kachari Chowk by washing it with water and garlanding it. On the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that cleanliness is the precious heritage of our life, due to which we remain healthy, prosperous and fulfill the pledge of cleanliness of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Vijay Kumar Sinha told journalists that cleanliness is an invaluable heritage of our life, due to which we remain clean, become prosperous and work to realize PM Modi’s resolve of a developed India.

He further said that Mahatma Gandhi had also taken this campaign very seriously, whereas now PM Modi wants to inculcate this campaign in the minds of the people. Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar, the creator of the Constitution, had said that the mind has to be free from disorders. The nation has to be made prosperous and civilized by freeing it from the filth prevalent in the mind, body and society.

He further said that since the Prime Minister is coming, a campaign was going on for the last 3-4 days to realize his resolution. Seeing the enthusiasm of the people, Land Revenue Minister Dilip Jaiswal and I together started a better public awareness campaign.

At the same time, Dilip Jaiswal wrote on the social media platform Along with Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, he honored an elderly sanitation worker by washing his feet and administered the oath of cleanliness to the people.

He further wrote, ‘Before PM Modi’s program, he took a walk in Jamui city and gave the message of cleanliness and paid tribute to the statue of ‘Bharat Ratna’ Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar by washing it with water and offering floral tributes.’
