Prior to the Bihar assembly elections, Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore appointed former BJP MP Uday Singh as his first national president.
Addressing a press conference in Patna, Kishore said that now he will focus on public relations and hand over the responsibility of running the organization to people like Uday Singh and RCP Singh, who joined the party on Sunday. He said, “I can start my ‘padyatra’ again in Bihar from tomorrow.”
Kishore said, “Uday Singh, known for providing logistics aid to the party, was” not only a majority but unanimously “by a committee formed for this purpose. Uday Singh has been a BJP MP from Purnia Lok Sabha seat twice. Uday left the Bharatiya Janata Party and joined the Congress in 2019.
