New Delhi, 2 February (IANS). Union Minister Jeetan Ram Manjhi said on Saturday that many progressive steps have been taken in the budget, which will benefit the common people.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special concern of the Northeast. This is the reason why he is making tireless efforts for the development of Bihar and all the northeastern states. This budget reflects the same policy. Prime Minister Modi’s focus has always been on the development of these areas. The steps taken in the interest of the poor and farmers and laborers are also commendable.
Many such progressive steps have been taken in this budget, which can prove beneficial for different areas. Special management of ITI and increase in seats for medical students, these two are significant improvements in the field of education. Such schemes will help the youth to give more opportunities and prepare them for better employment in future. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for this budget. This budget focuses on the development of every section of the country.
At the same time, Finance Minister of Punjab Government Harpal Singh Cheema said that Punjab did not get anything in the Union Budget presented today, but Punjab was completely ignored. He said that Punjab is mainly an agricultural state, yet neither its farmers nor its industries were paid any attention. Punjab is a border state. Not a single penny was allocated to strengthen our armies or upgrade our police stations, but Punjab will not beg the center, we will improve and move forward. Today’s budget shows that the central government has ignored Punjab.
Please tell that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget for FY 2025-26 in the Lok Sabha on Saturday. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made several major announcements for the field of tax, farmer, women, MSME and education in this budget. In the budget, the central government has announced that no tax will be paid on earnings up to 12 lakhs.
