New Delhi, October 2 (IANS). Congress national spokesperson Alok Sharma had a special conversation with IANS on Wednesday. During this, he gave his reaction on the “anti-Dalit” statement given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding Congress, the Mangesh Yadav encounter in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh and the arrest of Sonam Wanchung in Delhi.
On the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling Congress “anti-Dalit”, Congress spokesperson Alok Sharma said that Modi ji brings lateral entry, all the leaders of BJP and RSS give the statement of removing reservation. He did not make a single Dalit national president in the last 10 years. Prime Minister Modi said this in Haryana where BJP changed four-five presidents in the last 10 years, but did not make even a single Dalit the president. In such a situation, no one takes Modi ji’s words seriously. In the last 10 years, all four presidents of Congress in Haryana have been Dalits. Congress Party National President Mallikarjun Kharge himself comes from a Dalit family. Modi ji has nothing to show what BJP has done in the last 10 years, that is why he is making casteist like statements.
The family members have filed a case against the SP in the Mangesh Yadav encounter case in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Regarding this, the Congress spokesperson said that I was reading the post of former DGP of Uttar Pradesh, in which he has explained to the state police not to do things like fake encounters due to someone’s pressure or applause. This is an admonition by the former DGP that the police should think again about their role and duties. He further said that BJP people can do politics on dead bodies also. The manner in which these people misuse officials is a matter of investigation in itself.
Regarding the arrest of Sonam Wanchung by Delhi Police, Alok Sharma said that whenever Modi government is afraid, it puts the police forward. Sonam Wanchung has come to Delhi regarding the important issues of environment and Leh Ladakh and instead of listening to her, this government put Wanchung in jail. This incident, which happened on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, has exposed the face of BJP and Modi ji at the national and international level.
He further said that BJP remembers Gandhiji only for votes and show off, but it is strongly allergic to people having Gandhian ideology. That is why this government cannot tolerate a Gandhian like Sonam Wanchung.
