New Delhi, September 21 (IANS). Delhi BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva has termed Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal as a traitor. While talking to the media on Saturday, Sachdeva said, Kejriwal had said in the municipal elections of November 2022 that he will remove the mountains of garbage from Delhi. But he has not done so till now.
Virendra Sachdeva said, we have been saying from the beginning that corruption, scams and cheating the public are the character of Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party. Kejriwal has given a direct example of this by cheating the people of Delhi on the cleaning of the landfill site. He had won the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections in 2022 by making the cleaning and sanitation of the landfill site a main issue, but now he has given the date of 2028 for its cleaning.
Sachdeva said, as soon as it came to power, the Aam Aadmi Party extended the dates for cleaning the landfill sites set by the BJP and set a third deadline. According to this, the Okhla site will be cleared by the end of 2024, the Bhalswa site and the Ghazipur landfill site by the end of 2026. But now it has been extended to 2028. This is a betrayal of the people of Delhi.
He said that if the BJP was in power in the Delhi Municipal Corporation today, all three landfill sites would have been cleaned. Sachdeva said, today the main cause of pollution in Delhi is the mountains of garbage.
