Etawah, November 12 (IANS). There was a sensation in the area after four dead bodies were found in a house in Etawah city of Uttar Pradesh. The dead bodies of a bullion trader, his wife and 3 children were found in the city police station.
On receiving information about the incident, Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Singh and many police officers and forensic team immediately reached the spot.
Police suspect bullion trader Mukesh Verma of poisoning all four. After the incident, Mukesh had reached the railway station to commit suicide, where the police arrested him.
The deceased include Mukesh Verma’s wife Rekha (45), elder daughter Bhavya Verma (18), younger daughter Kavya (16), son Abhisht (11).
Police have also recovered a suicide note written by bullion artisan Mukesh Verma. Regarding which the police is busy observing.
According to the local people, Mukesh Verma’s house was closed since around 9 in the morning. Because of this, the police are guessing that the murder took place on Monday. After this, when Mukesh Verma reached Etawah railway station late in the evening to commit suicide, this mass murder was confirmed.
Etawah Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar said in the middle of the night that Mukesh Verma, associated with the bullion business, murdered his wife and his three children by feeding them poisonous substance. Because no trace of blood has been recovered from the spot. The forensic team is busy investigating the entire issue with the public. Police officials are also collecting information from other people regarding the incident.
Accused Mukesh Verma informed during interrogation that we all wanted to commit mass suicide. The family committed suicide and I was going to commit suicide by train.
Confirming the incident, Etawah Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar said that this was the second marriage of Mukesh Verma, who works as a bullion. His first wife died in 2005. This is his second wife. Four people have died in this incident. The deceased include his wife and three children, two girls and one boy. Four people have died. Prima facie it appears to be an incident of murder.
He further informed that Mukesh Verma has been arrested from the station. He had come to commit suicide. He was lying under the train. The train passed, he also got scratches. When the train stopped, RPF people took him out. Prima facie, he has told about the murder of his wife and children after a domestic dispute. In this sequence, he has given sleeping pills etc. to the family. Many things have also been recovered. During interrogation, he also told that we were so upset due to the family dispute that we along with our wife and children had taken the decision together. The forensic team has also collected some scientific evidence of the incident. Some marks were also found on the neck of the deceased. There is not even a drop of blood anywhere. Prima facie it seems that they have chosen their own death with mutual consent.
Akhilesh Verma, family member of the deceased, said, “He is our elder brother, he has a complete family, a wife, two daughters and a son. The elder daughter is around 18 years old, the younger daughter is 16 years old, and the son is around 14 years old. We all were busy in our work during the day and came to know that the children had seen a status on social media, after which we realized that something was wrong. It has happened.”
He further said that when we reached home, a large crowd had already gathered there. People of the locality had also reached the spot. We traced this incident from the daughter’s number, but at first we did not understand anything. Everything was normal at home, no one had gone out, nor was anyone meeting anyone. When we checked the daughter’s number, we came to know that something had happened to her and she was found dead. In the morning there were some black marks outside the house, and then we realized that something serious had happened. We immediately went to the station, and got the news from there that Mukesh Verma had been caught by the police. When we reached there, the whole neighborhood was bustling with activity and people were gathered. We still haven’t got complete information, but from what we have heard, it seems that this is a very tragic incident. We are still waiting for the investigation.”
Satendra Soni, brother of the deceased woman, said, “We could not understand this incident, we could never have imagined that something like this would happen. We did not understand anything until Mukesh was caught. Now When he was caught, it was revealed that my sister was murdered. Only Mukesh can tell what happened. It will be known that Mukesh was arrested. Is.”
