Attari, 26 April (IANS). An important announcement was made at Gurdwara Sahib in Rodawala village near Attari-Wagha border. The announcement was made after an incident in Pahalgam. Sarpanch Tarsem Singh of the village made this announcement on the instructions of BSF (Border Security Force) officials at Gurdwara Sahib.
According to the announcement, the farmers whose land is across the wires of the Indo-Pakistan border, they will have to cut their crop within two days. After this, the border will be completely closed and no farmer will be allowed to harvest the crop. Baba of Gurudwara Sahib, while explaining the seriousness of this order, appealed to the attendees to take immediate action.
Talking to the media, Sarpanch Tarsem Singh of Rodawala village said, “We have received clear instructions from BSF officials that the farmers whose land is beyond the boundary, they should cut their crop within two days. After this the gate will be closed, and no one will be allowed to go there. Complete the harvesting of your crops as soon as possible. “
After this announcement, rapid harvesting work has started in the farmers of the village. Hardev Singh, a farmer from the village, told the media, “Our land is across the fence. After the order of BSF, we have started harvesting our crop immediately. The incident in Pahalgam is very condemnable and we are willing to follow every order of BSF for national security. We will give all possible support for the safety of our country. It is time for unity and responsibility.”
The incident in Pahalgam has alerted the security forces, due to which the security system on the border is being tightened. This move of BSF is considered important from the national security point of view. However, this order is challenging for farmers whose livelihood is dependent on their border land. Crop harvesting within a two -day time limit is not easy, but farmers are talking about following BSF instructions.
