Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati was in charge of South states and former MP Ashok Siddharth and Nitin Singh of Meerut have been expelled from the party. Giving this information on the social media platform X on Wednesday, BSP chief Mayawati wrote that Dr. Ashok Siddharth, former MP and Nitin Singh, District Meerut, on behalf of BSP, to district Meerut, factionalism etc. Being involved in activities, the party’s interest is expelled from the party with immediate effect.
Ashok Siddharth, father -in -law of the party’s national coordinator Akash Anand, was counted among the trusted leaders of Mayawati. He was working as a party in a simple way behind the scenes. During the tenure of the BSP government in UP, Ashok Siddharth’s wife was made the Deputy Chairman of the State Women’s Commission. He left the government job and came to politics. Siddharth was sent to the Rajya Sabha by Mayawati in 2016. Prior to this, he has also been an MLC. He has also played the role of Central Coordinator in the assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
However, the party has not got any success in these elections. He was quite active on social media. He also promoted the party. Nasimuddin Siddiqui, close to Mayawati, Babu Singh Kushwaha, Swami Prasad Maurya, Narendra Kashyap are also out of the BSP today. Many old leaders gradually moved out of all the party.
Who is Ashok Siddharth?
Ashok Siddharth is said to be a low profile leader of BSP. He preferred to work behind the screen at the party. He has always been away from discussions. He has been counted among the very close leaders of Mayawati for a long time. Due to his proximity to Mayawati, he quit the government job and entered politics. Mayawati made him the first MLC. After this it was sent to Rajya Sabha in the year 2016. He will remain a member of Rajya Sabha till 2022. The BSP sent him to the Rajya Sabha along with Satish Chandra Mishra. Ashok Siddharth comes from the Dalit community. His wife Mayawati has been the Deputy Chairman of the UP State Women’s Commission during the rule. Ashok Siddharth is a doctor by profession. He studied up to postgraduate level from Bundelkhand University. He has done a diploma in ophthalmology from Maharani Laxmibai College.
Daughter got married to Akash Anand
Dr. Ashok married his daughter Pragya Siddharth two years ago to Mayawati’s nephew Akash Anand. Pragya is also associated with the medical field. He is a doctor. Mayawati has taken action against her old trusted and relative. He also entrusted the responsibility of in -charge of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to former Rajya Sabha member Ashok Siddharth.
