Raipur, 1 February (IANS). Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the general budget of FY 2025-26 in Parliament on Saturday. Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Raman Singh termed it as “inclusive budget” and described it as beneficial for all sections of the society.
Raman Singh said that the Union Budget is going to fulfill the expectations of the people. People of middle class are going to benefit from this. He has welcomed the income tax exemption on income up to Rs 12 lakh. He said that the limit of Kisan Credit Card has been increased from three lakh rupees to five lakh rupees. This will benefit the farmers. The government has given great relief by freeing many medicines from import duty. To promote employment, the government has made many big announcements in the budget. Overall, the government has presented an inclusive budget, in which special care of all classes has been taken.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has also called it an “inclusive budget”. He said, “I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the country’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and his entire team on behalf of the three crore people of Chhattisgarh. This kind of budget can only present the government of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Relief has been given to the middle class. Now the income of up to 12 lakhs will not be given to the middle class.
Announcing the new tax slab, Nirmala Sitharaman said that by incorporating the standard deduction of Rs 75 thousand, no tax will have to be paid on the earnings of up to Rs 12 lakh.
