Patna, 5 July (IANS). The murder of Gopal Khemka, a businessman from Patna just before the Bihar assembly elections, has shocked the people. Politics has started on this murder. The Leader of Bihar Legislative Assembly has raised the question by Leader of Opposition and former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav.
Referring to the incident, he wrote in the X post, “A large stepman of Bihar was shot dead in Patna, a few months away from the police station. Hundreds of traders are being killed in Bihar every month, but cannot be called Jungle Raj? Because it is called image management in the scriptures.”
On the other hand, Congress media in -charge Rajesh Rathore said that it is clear from the murder of the first son and now the father’s murder is that Gundaraj’s mahatandava is going on in Bihar. Traders are running away from here due to fear and no new businessman wants to come here. He said, “Chief Minister Nitish Kumar should now resign or at least leave the post of Home Minister and give this responsibility to a youth.”
At the same time, JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar defended the state administration, accepting the seriousness of the incident. He said that Gopal Khemka was a prominent industrialist and his brutal murder near Patna’s Gandhi Maidan is completely shocking. Whatever the victim, any murder is a challenge to the rule of law. The DGP of Bihar itself took cognizance of the matter at a high level and an SIT has been formed under the leadership of City SP Central. The SIT is investigating all aspects of the case.
Meanwhile, Gopal Khemka’s family has accused the police of gross negligence. His brother Shankar Khemka said: “About three hours after the incident, the officers arrived at around 2:30 pm. Gopal was returning home, when the attackers opened fire, just as their son was done in 2018.”
