Cash for Vote : BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde has hit back at Congress over the cash scandal that took place before voting for the assembly elections in Maharashtra. He has sent a defamation notice of Rs 100 crore to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior party leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that in order to defame me and my party BJP, these leaders falsely accused me of distributing Rs 5 crore.
Tawde said that along with Rahul and Kharge, I am also sending a notice to Congress spokesperson Supriya Srinet. These leaders should publicly apologize to me otherwise they should be prepared to face court action. Tawde was accused of distributing cash in a hotel before the elections, due to which there was a huge uproar before voting. However, Tawde and BJP leaders rejected these allegations. Tawde said that he had reached the hotel to hold a meeting with the workers.
