The CBI claimed that the female doctor was not gang-raped. The CBI has not found any evidence related to this. At present, the case is being investigated. At the same time, the CBI demanded an extension in the remand period of former principal of RG Kar Medical College, Sandeep Ghosh.
The CBI also demanded extension of remand of former Tala police station officer Abhijit Mandal. The investigating agency cited that if he is granted bail, evidence may be tampered with. Both the accused have been in CBI custody for 3 days. On the request of the agency, the court has extended the remand period of both till September 20.
According to the Indian Express report, the CBI lawyer claimed in the court that Sandeep Ghosh and Abhijit Mandal are being questioned. Both are to be questioned regarding call recordings, CCTV cameras, DVR and other data. For which the investigating agency needs their custody. The lawyer said that both the accused are not cooperating in the interrogation. At the same time, before the hearing of the case, the lawyers of Sealdah Bar requested the judge not to grant bail to Sandeep Ghosh and Abhijit Mandal.

The CBI also has records and witnesses in the case. The investigation is ongoing. The DVR and hard disk of Tala police station have also been seized. Its data is yet to be extracted.
