Sanjay Roy is the main accused. He committed this heinous crime alone. Gang rape is not a case of rape. The appearance of the accused in CCTV is also important evidence. The earphone found at the spot was also connected to the phone of accused Sanjay. The blood samples of the accused have been matched with those of deceased doctors Seeman and Virsa. The short hair found at the crime scene also belonged to the accused, this was proved in the forensic investigation. Statements of 100 witnesses were taken. 12 polygraph tests were conducted, the report of which is attached in the charge sheet. CCTV footage, forensic report, mobile call details, location tracing report have also been submitted.

Let us tell you that late on the night of August 9, a trainee doctor of RG Kar Hospital was raped and murdered. On the morning of 10 August, his body was found in the seminar hall on the third floor. Police traced the earphones found at the spot and arrested the accused Sanjay Roy. A case was registered under sections 64 (rape), 66 (causing death) and 103 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. Polygraphy test of Sanjay Rai was done.
At the same time, protests took place across the country against this gruesome rape-murder case. Doctors went on strike. The post-mortem report confirmed murder after rape.
