Champai Soren in Ranchi
Former CM Champai Soren joined BJP in the presence of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi. Let us tell you that earlier Champai Soren had announced to form a separate party.
14 seats of Kolhan will be affected
After Shibu Soren, Champai Soren was the most senior tribal leader in JMM. His stature was so great that after Hemant Soren went to jail, Champai Soren was made the CM. His constituency is Saraikela and he is also called the Tiger of Kolhan. In such a situation, Champai Soren’s arrival will strengthen the BJP in those 14 seats of Kolhan, where the party’s account was not opened last time.
Why was Champai Soren angry?
It is worth noting that recently Champai Soren had rebelled against JMM. He removed the name of JMM from his former bio. He accused the party and CM Hemant Soren of insult. He was angry at being removed from the post of CM. Even before breaking ties with the party, Champai Soren had said that he had three options – first, retire from politics, second, form his own separate organization and third, if someone comes with him, he will leave. With this, Champai Soren adopted the third option and joined BJP.
