Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, in an open letter to the youth, promised that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power in the state, 2.87 lakh jobs will be provided and apart from this, self-employment opportunities will also be provided to five lakh people. .
Soren underlined that the future rests on the shoulders of the youth and they must be carrying dreams, hopes and aspirations from the mere 24 years old state of Jharkhand.
Soren, who recently joined BJP citing ‘insult’ and ‘insult’ received from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leaders, said, “As soon as BJP comes to power, the process of 2.87 lakh appointments will be started. Along with this, self-employment opportunities will be provided to five lakh youth, so that those who could not get employment opportunities earlier can also join the mainstream of development.
“Many of you will be voting for the first time,” he said in the letter written on Wednesday. There is a special request to those young friends that by voting for BJP in Jharkhand, you can strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said, “Many of you want to do a lot for your family, society, state and nation, but are constrained due to the systems. We have closely observed and understood your problems and issues.
Soren said efforts were being made to stop the appointment process that was started during his five-month tenure as chief minister.
Soren promised that if BJP came to power, it would prepare a calendar and complete all recruitment processes with transparency.
Champai Soren took charge as the 12th Chief Minister of Jharkhand on February 2. His predecessor Hemant Soren had resigned before he was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case.
Hemant Soren was released from jail on June 28 after getting bail from the Supreme Court. On July 3, he was elected the leader of JMM Legislative Party.
Elections for the 81-member Assembly in Jharkhand will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20.
