Jalandhar, September 9 (IANS). The case of kidnapping of a 20-year-old girl from Jalandhar is not yet settled. There is a possibility of gang rape of the victim. On Monday, former Chief Minister of Punjab and veteran Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi visited the hospital to inquire about the condition of the victim.
Speaking to journalists on this occasion, Congress leader Channi said that he had come to the hospital to see the victim. The police and doctors have not yet reached any conclusion. I would like to say that there should be no politics in this matter, it should be known what has happened to the girl.
Channi said, nothing can be said in this case right now. The girl is not in a condition to record her statement. Further action will be taken only after the statement is recorded, after which the whole truth will come out.
He said that this is a very sensitive matter, I have told the police and doctors to put forward their views honestly.
Apart from this, targeting the Bhagwant Mann government of the state, Channi said that this is not the government of Aam Aadmi Party, but the government of Badnam Aadmi Party. The law and order of the state is not in the hands of the government, if it remains like this, then we will strongly oppose it.
There is a rush of leaders of different parties at the Civil Hospital to see the victim. Before Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi, BJP’s Punjab chief Sunil Jakhar arrived in the afternoon, while Aam Aadmi Party MLA Mohinder Bhagat had arrived last night.
Let us tell you that the victim’s mother had told that her 20-year-old daughter had gone to work on Tuesday like every day, but did not return. The next day, a phone call from the police informed that she was found unconscious near Delhi. The family brought the girl home and complained about the matter to the Commissionerate Police.
