Chennai: DMK spokesperson targeted BJP-ADMK alliance and corruption

चेन्नई : डीएमके प्रवक्ता ने भाजपा-एडीएमके गठबंधन और भ्रष्टाचार पर साधा निशाना

Chennai, 26 March (IANS). DMK spokesperson Saravanan Annadurai on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on a possible alliance of BJP and ADMK during a conversation with news agency IANS.

He said that after the defeat of 2021, the ADMK and BJP never completely out of the alliance. ADMK fought alone in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, but now the BJP is trying to alliance. He claims that the Election Commission, which is under the influence of the Central Government, is promoting this alliance.

Saravanan referred to serious allegations of corruption on former ADMK ministers. He said that neither the ED took any action in these cases of thousands of crores of rupees, nor the Governor approved the prosecution. They allege that the BJP has forced the ADMK to alliance by suppressing these cases.

He said, “As long as the ED does not arrest an ADMK leader, we cannot deny the possibility of an alliance.”

The DMK spokesperson called it part of the BJP’s conspiracy to destroy the Dravidian culture in Tamil Nadu and said that it would be beneficial for his party, as people understand the intention of the BJP.

He also targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP. Saravanan said, “The BJP has no moral right to speak on corruption. The BJP is the most corrupt party in the country to deposit Rs 7,000 crore from electoral bonds.”

He said that this bond is a big scam and corrupt leaders become ‘saints’ as soon as they join BJP. He called it “the biggest joke of 2025”.
