Chief Minister Adityanath to solve the problem of scholarship of Dalit and Tribe students: Mayawati

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Sunday requested the Chief Minister (Yogi Adityanath) to take up the matter of scholarship of Dalit and Tribe students of dozens of colleges affiliated to Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University, Aligarh.

The BSP chief said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’ on Sunday, “Thousands of SC/ST (Scheduled Castes/Tribe) students and students of dozens of colleges affiliated to Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University, Aligarh have not yet been settled properly at the government level.”

He said that due to this, there is a lot of restlessness and resentment among the people due to the danger of students hanging in the future balance. The former Chief Minister, citing the information he himself received, alleged that despite repeated correspondence in this regard from the university and district administration, insensitivity and negligence has been done at the Social Welfare Department level in Lucknow.

He said that the result of this is that there is a huge threat to the educational life of about 3,500 Dalit students and students. Mayawati said in a post, “Since the said university of Aligarh has been established only by the special efforts of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, it is expected that she will take interest in its smooth operation, especially thousands of Dalit students, will immediately solve the serious problem of the serious problem.”

Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh is a state university located in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, which was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 14 September, 2021. Dalit and tribe students studying in colleges in many districts affiliated to this university get scholarships. Some students have complained that their scholarship forms have been canceled by the university administration.
