Rajasthan News Desk !!! Devotees who had gone to visit Gogamedi happily became victims of an accident. The family had left home on Monday evening, but at around 1 o’clock in the night, their pickup vehicle was hit by a truck. 7 people died in the accident and 8 people were seriously injured. Among the dead is a child, whose both hands and legs are cut off. The accident was so horrific that the pickup was shattered into pieces. Dead bodies and blood were scattered on the road. The injured were writhing in pain, who were taken to the hospital after a rescue operation. The police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody and recorded the statements of the injured. The injured have told the reason for the accident, on the basis of which the police have registered a case.
Pickup overturned after collision with truck
Narwana police station in-charge Kuldeep Singh said that the accident took place in Hisar district of Haryana. A truck hit a Tata S pickup from behind on the Hisar-Chandigarh National Highway between Bidharana village of Narwana and Shimla. The truck was loaded with wood and after the collision, the truck went off the road, fell into a pit and overturned. The wood also scattered. The pickup overturned on the road. All the 15 people riding in it came out and fell here and there. In the accident, 7 people riding the pickup died on the spot. Narwana police went to the spot and took all the 15 victims of the accident to the hospital in an ambulance, out of which 7 people were declared dead. After first aid, the injured were referred to Agroha Medical College.
The accident victims are residents of a village in Kurukshetra
According to the police, the victims of the accident are residents of Murchedi village of Kurukshetra, who had left for Gogamedi Darshan in Rajasthan on Monday evening. The deceased in the accident were identified as 50-year-old Rukmini, 35-year-old Kamini, 55-year-old Tejpal, 50-year-old Suresh, 50-year-old Paramjeet, 50-year-old Mukti. As soon as the information of the accident was received, people of the nearby villages also reached the spot.
