Nagpur, 16 February (IANS). Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed grief over the incident at New Delhi railway station on Sunday and also made a statement about Love Jihad. At least 18 people have died in the stampede incident at New Delhi railway station.
While talking to reporters in Nagpur, CM Fadnavis described the incident of stampede at New Delhi railway station as tragic. He said that everyone has expressed grief over this accident. Further, there is no such incident, the administration will definitely take appropriate action.
In response to a question about Love Jihad, CM Fadnavis said that the Supreme Court has also demonstrated the reality of Love Jihad in its decision. We are constantly seeing such cases in a state like Maharashtra.
He further said that all of us should understand that it is not wrong for a person of one religion to marry a person of another religion, but if someone tricks someone by cheating or lying and hiding his identity by marrying and born children If it leaves, it is wrong. These types of incidents are happening are very serious incidents. Action has to be taken on it.
Let us know that in the recent times, the state government has formed a committee on the issue of ‘Love Jihad’ and forced conversion in Maharashtra.
The state government has constituted a high level committee on the issue of ‘Love Jihad’, which will be chaired by the Director General of State Police (DGP). This committee will discuss all the legal and technical aspects related to ‘Love Jihad’ and will prepare a report and submit it to the government.
The committee will include Secretary, Department of Women and Child Welfare, Secretary of Minorities Development Department, Secretary of Law and Justice Department, Secretary of Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Secretary of Home Department and Secretary of Home Department (Law) . The aim of the committee is to study the current state of the state and consider measures to take effective steps against ‘Love Jihad’.
