CM Revanth Reddy threatened in assembly, ‘Those who post derogatory material will be beaten up by naked’

सीएम रेवंत रेड्डी ने विधानसभा में दी धमकी,

Hyderabad, March 15 (IANS). Telangana Chief Minister A Revant Reddy issued a strict warning against the persons who allegedly presented as journalists and posing objectionable materials about public representatives, saying that their clothes will be taken off and parade will be made publicly.

Recently, Revanth Reddy lost his temper in the assembly on Saturday, referring to the arrest of two female journalists to post allegedly posting abusive material about her and her family.

He questioned, “We are in public life and are ready for criticism, but why are our family members being targeted?”

Speaking on this issue, Reddy said that as long as the poisonous culture of spreading derogatory content is allowed to flourish on social media under the guise of journalism, he will not remain silent.

He said, “Don’t think that I am silent because of being the Chief Minister. I will naked you and get you beaten up. Millions of people will come out on the streets to beat you. I am respected for the Constitution, so I am silent. I am silent. Do not consider it my weakness. Whatever I do, I will do it within the realm of law.”

CM Reddy said that he is ready to discuss with journalist unions and will also bring laws to stop such objectionable news material if necessary.

He directed IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu and Information and Public Relations Minister Pongulati Srinivas Reddy to prepare a list of recognized journalists.

He said, “Journalist associations have been asked to give a list of journalists. Those who are not in the list are not journalists. We consider them to be criminals. We will behave with them as they should be done with criminals. They will be stripped naked and beaten. The punishment will be within the purview of the law.”

He warned, “You decide what kind of punishment should be given to a journalist involved in the list for such a violation. But if any person involved in that list commit such a crime, we will behave like criminals. Can and can start criticizing someone and can they be considered a journalist? “

Without naming KT Rama Rao, the executive president of BRS, who condemned the arrest of the woman journalist, Revanth Reddy questioned her how they would have felt if they had been abused against her family members.

At the same time, CM Revanth Reddy further said in the assembly that due to the weak financial situation of the state, the government is having difficulty in paying salaries to employees on the first date of every month. The demand for DA of the employees is justified, but they are requested not to insist on the current difficult financial situation.
