Lucknow, Sep 18 (IANS) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the decisions taken for the welfare of farmers, consumers and tribal community in the Union Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked the Prime Minister.
While the Union Cabinet has decided to continue the PM-Asha scheme with Rs 35,000 crore till the year 2025-26, it has approved the proposal to fix nutrient-based subsidy rates on phosphatic and potassic fertilizers for the Rabi crop season, 2024. At the same time, ‘Pradhan Mantri Janjati Unnat Gram Abhiyan’ has been approved.
Regarding the decision to continue PM-Asha schemes, CM Yogi wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “The approval given by the Union Cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, committed to the upliftment of Annadaata farmers and welfare of consumers, to continue Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-Asha) schemes with a total financial expenditure of Rs 35,000 crore till the year 2025-26 is commendable. Heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this public welfare decision taken to provide beneficial prices to Annadaata farmers and control the fluctuations in the prices of essential commodities for consumers.”
On the approval of the proposal to fix nutrient-based subsidy rates, CM Yogi wrote, “The progress and prosperity of the farmers is the resolution of the double engine BJP government. In order to achieve this resolution, the approval given by the Union Cabinet to the proposal to fix nutrient-based subsidy rates on phosphatic and potassic fertilizers for the Rabi crop season, 2024 is highly commendable. This decision will not only ensure the availability of fertilizers to the farmer friends at reasonable prices, but will also open new doors to their prosperity.”
Similarly, on the approval of ‘Pradhan Mantri Janjati Unnat Gram Abhiyan’, CM Yogi wrote, “The approval of ‘Pradhan Mantri Janjati Unnat Gram Abhiyan’ by the Union Cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi is commendable. This historic decision taken in the direction of the upliftment of the tribal community will improve the living standards and prosperity of more than 5 crore tribal brothers and sisters in more than 63,000 villages. Heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for this decision ensuring the overall development of tribal-dominated villages and congratulations to the people of the country, especially the brothers and sisters associated with the tribal community.”
