Lucknow, October 4 (IANS). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of a painful road accident that took place in Mirzapur district on Friday. CM Yogi has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. He instructed the district administration officials to reach the spot and expedite the relief work.
The Chief Minister said that the people injured in the accident should be immediately taken to the hospital and arrangements should be made for their proper treatment. He asked the district administration officials to speed up the relief work after reaching the spot and not to be negligent in the treatment of the injured.
Along with this, he also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Apart from this, CM Yogi directed the district administration to immediately provide assistance amounting to Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
Let us tell you that 10 people died in a road accident on Friday in Mirzapur, UP. According to the information, a tractor was hit hard from behind by an uncontrolled truck on Mirzamurad Kachhwa Border GT Road in Police Station Kachhwa area. A total of 13 people were traveling on the tractor, who were going from Bhadohi towards Varanasi. In the accident, out of 13 people traveling on the tractor, 10 died on the spot, while 3 people were seriously injured. The injured were sent to Trauma Center (BHU) Varanasi for treatment.
On receiving information about the accident, senior police officials reached the spot and started relief work. The bodies of the deceased were taken into custody by the Kachhwa police station and sent to the mortuary, while the injured are being treated at the Trauma Center, Varanasi.
