A group of Congress MLAs on Friday started an indefinite dharna in front of the Governor’s residence in front of the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, demanding the dismissal of Minister Vijay Shah from the state cabinet to make alleged objectionable remarks on military officer Colonel Sophia Qureshi. The Congress has given a memorandum to the Governor together. After this, the governor sat on a dharna outside the residence, from where he was taken into custody by the police.
Congress MLA under the leadership of Opposition Leader Umang Singhar sat outside the Raj Bhavan after meeting Governor Mangubhai Patel.
Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar said that yes, 15 MLAs are with me. We have started an indefinite strike outside the Raj Bhavan after meeting the Governor. We have submitted a memorandum to him demanding Shah’s resignation. State Tribal Affairs Minister Shah made a disputed statement without naming Qureshi during a public program in a rural area of Indore district.
He said that the minister has tried to present Colonel Sophia as the “sister of terrorists”. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has registered a case on this matter taking cognizance. Congress leaders said that it has been three days and Shah has not been removed yet. We want their resignation and so we have taken to the streets.
The Congress party has been demanding Vijay Shah’s resignation since the statement came out. Apart from this, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti has also taken a dig at Vijay Shah on this whole matter. He has demanded that he resign from the cabinet along with action on Shah. On the other hand, now a video of Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora is also going viral, in which he commented on the army and said that the whole country and the army of the country are bowed down at the feet of the Prime Minister.
This battle of honor of the army will continue!
This fight is against those who raise finger on honor of the army. Every soldier of the Congress party will continue to fight this battle till his last breath to protect the honor of the army.
