Congress on Saturday targeted Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal on the issue related to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and said that everyone knows about the history of this person and also what he had said about reservation.
Congress leader Pawan Kheda took aim at the former Delhi Chief Minister when asked about Kejriwal’s promise to start a scholarship in the name of Babasaheb in Delhi. He said, “You (journalists) know the history of this person more than me. You also know what this person had said for reservation earlier.
You know what was there in “Youth for Equality”, who were there in “India Against Corruption”. Don’t make me open my mouth.” Targeting Kejriwal, Khera also said that Rajendra Pal Gautam, who was a minister in his government, was removed for taking the name of Babasaheb. Gautam is now in Congress.
Both Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are constituents of the ‘India’ alliance. A few weeks before the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Kejriwal on Saturday announced the “Ambedkar Samman Scholarship” scheme, under which the education expenses of Dalit students studying abroad will be borne.
