Ajmer, 6 April (IANS). Syed Afshan Chishti, the national co -in -charge of the BJP Sufi Samvad Abhiyan, made serious allegations against the Congress party on Saturday while talking to news agency IANS. He said that the Muslim community is only one vote bank for the Congress party.
On the absence of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi during voting in the Lok Sabha on the Waqf Amendment Bill, he said that when the Congress needs Muslim votes, they miss Muslims only, but when the time comes to work on important issues, the Congress party leaders disappear.
Afshan Chishti said that we have been saying for years that the Congress party considers the Muslim community as only vote bank. When they need votes, they miss the Muslim community. But when an important bill is being passed, then the leaders of the Congress party disappear. He also questioned the insensitive and non-serious attitude of Congress leaders.
Chishti said that Congress leaders, especially Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, are sometimes active and sometimes inactive. These people ever remain active and when they do not feel like they do not appear in their work. Describing Rahul Gandhi as a part time leader, he said that Rahul Gandhi should have spoken on the important bill in Parliament, but he did not do so. He believed that Rahul Gandhi should have expressed his opinion on the issue of Muslim society, but he kept silence.
He said that Muslim society has no real importance for the Congress party, it is just one vote bank. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi should tell that when an important bill was being passed in favor of Muslim society, why were they missing from Parliament? Chishti also raised the question that when the Congress party had time to support this bill, why was Priyanka Gandhi not present in Parliament?
Chishti appealed to the Muslim community that they should see who is working for them and who is not. The Muslim community is getting the benefit of the central government schemes today. I want to tell everyone that you see who is doing better work for you and vote for it. Muslim society should understand that the Congress only works for their vote and not for their real rights and welfare. He clarified that the Muslim community is getting real respect and development in the BJP government.
