Raipur, November 2 (IANS). Govardhan Puja was celebrated across the country on Saturday. On this occasion, former Chhattisgarh CM and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel congratulated the countrymen on Govardhan Puja.
Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel said in a special conversation with IANS, “Govardhan Puja was celebrated with great pomp today in the entire country as well as in Chhattisgarh. Every year in Chhattisgarh, cowherds tie sohai to cows, perform puja and eat khichdi.” We also feed this tradition today in Raipur. When I was the Chief Minister, it was organized at the CM residence.
Bhupesh Baghel hit back at PM Modi’s statement. He said that we have fulfilled all the promises in Chhattisgarh. Be it loan waiver or irrigation. Our government had talked about purchasing paddy at Rs 2500 per quintal, which was increased to Rs 2800. Apart from this, electricity bill was halved and 35 kg ration was also distributed. Besides, we also started Swami Atmanand Free Education. What happened to PM Modi’s guarantee? He had talked about bringing back black money, depositing Rs 15 lakh in his account and providing employment to two crore people, what happened to his guarantees?
He targeted Chhattisgarh government. Said, “November 1 passed, but not even an advertisement came from the government. Along with this, we used to start tribal dance, this year nothing is known about it yet. It had gained fame at the national and international level and Chhattisgarh His name was respected all over the world, but he stopped all the programs including ‘Paradan’ which used to protect livestock and crops. The employment that people used to get from this has also stopped.”
On the question of Rehan Vadra’s entry into politics, Baghel said that I had also gone to a program and my grandson was also with me there. Why are you all looking at it politically? It is a festival of Diwali, it is celebrated with family only. I would say that it should not be linked to politics.
