'Congress high command's decision final'

Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge responded to Congress leader Veerappa Moily’s remarks about Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar. Kharge did not even give any further toe to DK Shivkumar’s becoming the Chief Minister, saying that neither Shivkumar nor anyone else claimed that he would take the reins of the post of Chief Minister “today or tomorrow”.

He said, “Neither Moily nor anyone else said that DK Shivkumar is going to become CM today or tomorrow. He said that one day he will get a reward of his hard work. The high command will be decided by it. If I say that in front of the media, what will happen? Our responsibilities are very clear.”

He said, Siddaramaiah is the Chief Minister and DK Shivkumar is the Deputy Chief Minister. I would like someone to become Chief Minister one day; If they work hard, they will be rewarded tomorrow. Whatever he said is his opinion. “

Karnataka minister Santosh Lad also reacted to Congress leader Veerappa Moily’s remarks, saying that the party follows the decisions of the high command.

Lad said, “If Moily has made such a statement then you should ask them, because we always follow the policy of the high command. Whatever the high command says is the final for us. This is their opinion, not the high command’s opinion.”

On Sunday, Congress leader Veerappa Moily praised the leadership of DK Shivkumar and said that he is sure to become the Chief Minister. Moily had said, “You (DK Shivkumar) have given good leadership. You have created a party. People are making a statement, but you cannot stop you from becoming CM. There is no need to worry about this. You cannot stop you from becoming CM. There is no gift to become a Chief Minister, he has earned it hard.”

Earlier, DK Shivkumar called the reports “false propaganda”, stating that he was going close to the BJP and insisted that he was a congenital Congressman.

Shivkumar while addressing a press conference at his Sadashivnagar residence said, “I am born as a Congressman and I cherish this. It is being misled that I am going close to the BJP, which is a false conspiracy against me.”
