New Delhi, September 14 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing an election rally in Kurukshetra, Haryana, said that Congress has come to power in Himachal by making false promises, they have not fulfilled even a single promise there. I appeal to the people of Haryana not to give them such a chance here. Politics has intensified over this statement of PM Modi.
BJP’s National General Secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam said that when our government was in power in Himachal, we worked with honesty to raise the standard of living of the people. We worked to bring 25 crore people out of the poverty line. We worked to provide toilets to 10 crore people, gas connections to 11 crore people, houses and Ayushman cards to four crore people in the country.
Now we are giving Ayushman card of Rs 5 lakh to all the elderly people above 70 years of age, irrespective of caste or religion, whether they are poor or crorepati. We work with honesty. Congress indulges in corruption. The money which should be used to improve the standard of living of people, Congress leaders are busy filling their own pockets with that money. That is why the financial condition of the state is on the verge of collapse.
He said that a party like Congress is doing politics on the basis of lies in today’s time. Its leaders are busy in collecting votes by constantly lying. Our mothers and sisters are looking for cheap money. Rahul Gandhi should answer this. He lied that BJP will end reservation. His grandmother had changed the Constitution. The way Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders are polluting the environment of the country, defaming the country, is not a good thing. They work as agents of China and Pakistan.
He has received fresh mangoes from Pakistan and Rs 1.35 crore from China has come to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. In this way, a person involved in anti-national activities is misleading the people of the country, we are seeing its result in Himachal. In Himachal, he had said that he will give Rs 1500 per month to every woman. He had promised to restore the old pension.
But restoring the pension is a far cry, they are not even able to pay salaries to the employees. Instead of waiving the electricity bill, they have increased the rate of electricity. The same situation is happening in Karnataka, where Rs 385 crore meant for the development of the Scheduled Caste Valmiki community was diverted to another department. There a conspiracy was hatched to end reservation by giving OBC status to minorities overnight. Today Congress is involved in anti-national activities.
He said that Congress is not affected by the economic plight of Himachal. Their leaders did not eradicate poverty by giving the slogan of Garibi Hatao. If they had strengthened the basic facilities, then why would we have to build toilets today, why would we have to provide gas connections. From former PM Nehru till now, the history of Congress is full of corruption and scams. Rahul Gandhi says that Sikhs are being discriminated against in India, has he forgotten the riots of Chaurasi.
Thousands of Sikhs were massacred during that time. You fired bullets inside the Gurudwara. You gave the Kartarpur Corridor to Pakistan. We built roads there. We are punishing those who committed the Chaurasi riots. Dividing the country in the name of religion and caste has become a part of Congress politics.
