Jammu, September 13 (IANS) Political activities are in full swing in Jammu and Kashmir regarding the assembly elections. During a meeting in Jammu, former Union Minister Anurag Thakur hit back at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement, in which he had pointed towards the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and said that if the Congress had got 20 more seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, all these people would have been in jail.
He said, “Congress’s dictatorial mentality is seen in Mallikarjun Kharge. Even after losing the election, Kharge insults Indian democracy and the people of India. Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi leaves no stone unturned to humiliate India when he goes abroad. Rahul Gandhi is seen with people who divide the country. The Bharatiya Janata Party works to root out those who divide the country. Congress’s dictatorial mentality will not work. The country does not accept it.”
Apart from this, he called Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with anti-India MP Ilhan Omar as anti-national. He further said, “Rahul Gandhi walks with the forces that were against the country. He meets anti-India Ilhan Omar. Which flag was there? Why do these people want to snatch the rights of the people who have come from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and the Indian community? Why does the Congress party want to end reservation?”
Let us tell you that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, while addressing a gathering in Anantnag, Kashmir, during the elections in the state, had said that the people who claimed 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections came down to 246 seats. If the Congress party had won 20 more seats, all these people would have been in jail today. These people deserve to be in jail. The Bharatiya Janata Party gives a lot of speeches, but there is a huge difference between work and words.
