Senior leaders of the Congress’s Delhi unit on Monday, referring to the party’s election promises, took a pledge that the manifesto would be implemented literally and the dream of Golden Delhi would be realized by implementing the manifesto.
State Congress Committee President Devendra Yadav and many other leaders stood together at the party office here on the last day of campaigning for the assembly elections.
He said, “We will realize the dream of Golden Delhi by implementing the Congress manifesto.”
He also mentioned several promises including removing Delhi’s air pollution, managing clean water, making Delhi wicked free, giving women a monthly Rs 2500 monthly, freeing electricity up to 300 units.
Devendra Yadav said, “The people of Delhi are fed up with the Aam Aadmi Party-BJP corruption and they are standing firmly with the Congress. Today we feel that the people of Delhi are contesting elections for the Congress. ‘
He said, “I thank Delhi on behalf of the entire party for the love and blessings that the Congress is getting by the people of Delhi.”
According to Yadav, at the time of the Congress government, the then Chief Minister Sheila Dikshi made Delhi a world class city, but in the last 10 years it is over.
He said, “So today we need to bring back Congress to Delhi.”
Former MP and Congress candidate from New Delhi assembly constituency Sandeep Dixit said, “The revolution in the election comes when the voter himself becomes a worker.” In this election, we are seeing whether the Congress people or not- the voters themselves are talking about ‘Congress Wali Delhi’.
He said, “Wherever we go, voters say- remove Kejriwal.” We are confident that the Congress is going to get the love and blessings of the people of Delhi.
Voting is to be held on February 5 for all 70 assembly seats in Delhi. Counting will be held on February 8
