Congress announced four candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Along with this, the final list for Jharkhand Assembly elections was also released.
According to a party announcement in Maharashtra, royal family member Madhurima Raje will contest from Kolhapur North in place of Chhatrapati Rajesh Latkar. Congress has also announced candidates for Akola West, Colaba in South Mumbai and Solapur city.
Congress has so far announced candidates for 102 seats and this is the third time it has had to change a candidate.
On Sunday, the party gave ticket to former MLA Ashok Jadhav in place of Sachin Sawant from Andheri West seat. Lahu Shewale was given the ticket from Aurangabad East seat in place of Madhukar Deshmukh.

Jharkhand: Congress fielded Shweta Singh from Bokaro and Ajay Dubey from Dhanbad.
Congress on Monday released the final list of its two candidates for the Jharkhand Assembly elections, in which Shweta Singh from Bokaro and Ajay Dubey from Dhanbad have been fielded.
The party has announced a total of 30 candidates for the assembly elections to be held in two phases in November. Earlier, Congress had declared two lists of 21 and seven candidates.
The Congress-Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) alliance is in power in the eastern state. Elections in Jharkhand will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20 and the counting of votes will take place on November 23.
