New Delhi, October 13 (IANS). Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak spoke to IANS on Sunday. Ragini has reacted to the murder of Baba Siddiqui, statements of farmer leader Gurnam Chaduni and Congress leader P. Chidambaram.
Farmer leader Gurnam Chaduni said that Congress is a sinking ship. Responding to this, Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak said, “There is democracy in the country, every person has the right to express his views. Congress performed well in Haryana in the Lok Sabha. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi is continuously working to raise the voice of the people. Congress is continuously raising issues related to farmers, inflation etc. which are related to the common people.
On P. Chidambaram’s statement, Congress spokesperson said, “There is not just one reason for any victory or defeat, there are many reasons.” On the day of counting of votes, senior Congress leaders Pawan Kheda and Jairam Ramesh had said in a press conference. That EVMs were 99 percent charged. How is it possible for Congress to lose in these districts? Where EVMs were 60 percent charged, Congress got the lead. The percentage has not increased in comparison to the previous elections. However, a Congress delegation has also put forth its point there in Haryana. And the party will definitely introspect on this. We have won the elections in Jammu and Kashmir. ‘India’ block government will be formed in Maharashtra and Jharkhand also.
On the murder of Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai, Congress spokesperson said that the law and order of Maharashtra is completely weak and battered. Justice and policy are missing from Maharashtra. Baba Siddiqui was a three-time MLA and former minister. He was given ‘Y’ level security, yet he was murdered.
In such a situation, the question is that if this can happen to a person with ‘Y’ level security in the country, then what will happen to the common man? The very shocking thing is that some gangsters are taking responsibility for this entire incident from jail. What is the Central Investigation Agency doing? “On moral grounds, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Home Minister Amit Shah should resign,” the Congress spokesperson said.
