Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge did not comment on the change in the party’s leadership in Karnataka on Wednesday. Currently, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar has been holding the post of President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) since 2020.

Kharge said that state presidents will be appointed in two to three states in the next few days. He told reporters here, “I have changed the party president in Odisha. The new state president is from backward classes. We have done this in three to four places. Gradually this will be done in other places as well. ‘

When asked about the new party president in Karnataka, Kharge told reporters, “I cannot say anything especially. If I say something, you will distort it and present it. This is why people do not tell you the truth. After moving forward from here, different stories will start coming out soon. ”

He said that the party is appointing one after the other in the organization in states. Kharge said, “In the next few days we will do this in two to three states. We will appoint officials in the states where we have not done so yet. We will do the same in other cells and departments of Congress. ”

Recently, about the state’s Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi meeting him, Kharge said, “I am AICC President. If someone meets me, is it a big deal? Everyone comes to meet me. He (Satish Jarkiholi) is ours and he is from Karnataka. There is a facility to meet immediate meeting on the phone. Can I refuse them? ”

Kharge advised the media that when Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister Shivkumar, Home Minister. If God and Jarkiholi meet them, “Do not create stories.”

Many party leaders are talking about changing the state president of the Congress, which is currently on the post of Shivkumar.
