Congress on Tuesday targeted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal over an old statement and said that it has now been understood that he will not reach the 50 percent limit of reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes. Why remain silent on removal and caste census?
Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh shared an old video of Kejriwal on ‘X’. In this, the former Chief Minister of Delhi can be heard saying that one who has got reservation once, should not get it again and even rich people from deprived sections should not get reservation.
Ramesh said, “Kejriwal ji must be heard on reservation.” Now I understand why he remains silent on the removal of 50 percent limit on reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in government employment and government educational institutions and caste census.
