Congress will sink its own boat by making holes in it: Anil Vij

Ambala, Sep 11 (IANS) Former minister and senior BJP leader Anil Vij filed his nomination from the Ambala Cantt seat for the Haryana Assembly elections on Wednesday.

Simultaneous polling will be held for all 90 assembly seats in Haryana on October 5. The election results will be declared on October 8. The last date for filing nominations is September 12.

Anil Vij targeted the Congress and said that Thursday is the last date for nomination, but the names of the remaining candidates have not been announced yet. This clearly shows that there is infighting in the Congress. He said, “We will not defeat the Congress, they will themselves make holes in their boat and sink it.”

Who will be the next Chief Minister of Haryana after the elections? In response to this question, he said, “Who will become the Chief Minister is decided by the top leadership of the party. Anyone can say that I will become the Chief Minister.”

Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, Vij said that if one studies how much of him is a foreigner and how much of him is an Indian, then the scale in favour of the foreigner is heavier. I am not saying this because his mother is a foreigner, but because he goes outside the country and curses India.

Anil Vij said that the people of Ambala are very alert. The people here sent me to the assembly again and again. I had no relation with politics. My father was a small employee in the railways. I also worked as a clerk in a bank. The people of Ambala have sent me to the assembly six times by making me an MLA from here. I cannot thank the people here enough.
