'Conversation with all parties on caste census', Kharge wrote a letter to PM Modi

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to adopt Telangana model for caste survey, remove 50 percent limit for reservation and to implement Article 15 (5) who provides reservation for scheduled castes, tribes and other backward classes in private educational institutions immediately.

In a letter to Modi, Kharge also called upon the Prime Minister to interact with all political parties on the issue of caste census.

Kharge said, “Any process like caste census, which gives their rights to backward, oppressed and marginalized classes of our society, should not be considered divisive in any way.”

He said in a letter to Modi on 5 May, “Our great nation and our big hearted people have always united when we have done after the recently carcassed terrorist attacks in Pahalgam.”

Kharge said that the Congress believes that it is absolutely necessary to conduct caste census in a wide way to ensure social and economic justice and status and opportunity as a promise made in the preface of the Constitution.

Congress General Secretary and Communications in -charge Jairam Ramesh shared Kharge’s letter saying, “After the meeting of the Congress Working Committee on May 2, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge ji wrote a letter to the Prime Minister last night about the sudden and desperate and desperate u -turn of Shri Modi on the caste census – while the country’s suffering and anger continue on the cruel Pahal Pahalgam terror attacks.”

He said, “Kharge ji has given three very specific suggestions.”
