Lucknow, March 27 (IANS). On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 283 medical officers and junior laboratory assistants selected by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) and Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) for AYUSH Department and Home Department at a ceremony held at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow on Thursday.
During this, CM Yogi while addressing the newly elected candidates said that the service of the country is not done by performing his duties with honesty, not with slogans or speeches. He appealed to the newly elected to discharge their obligations with full readiness and transparency, so that Uttar Pradesh could move forward rapidly towards becoming the leading economy of the country.
In this ceremony, appointment letters were provided to 283 candidates selected under the fair and transparent recruitment process by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission. These include 163 medical officers of AYUSH department, 2 readers (Ayurveda), 19 professors, 3 spokespersons (Homeopathy) and 96 junior laboratory assistants of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) under Home Department. After getting the appointment letter, the faces of all the newly elected candidates blossomed.
Sharing his experiences, he praised CM Yogi’s transparent and fair selection process. On this occasion, CM Yogi thanked UPPSC and UPSSSC for honestly to perform the recruitment process as per the intention of the government and congratulated all the newly elected candidates.
In his address, CM Yogi, while referring to the achievements of the last 8 years, said that in the last 8 years we have given government jobs to 8.30 lakh youth in the state. If these appointments were not with purity and transparency, then all these cases would have been pending in the court and not a single recruitment could be completed. He said that 1,56,000 policemen were recruited in these 8 years, the recruitment process of 60,200 policemen has been completed recently and a large number of teachers have also been appointed. The recruitment process was carried forward in other departments as well. Today, when trained and efficient personnel become part of government service, the method of working increases. This is the reason that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the growth engine of the country’s economy today, not a sick state.
CM Yogi attacked the state’s situation before 2017 and the previous governments, saying that 8 years ago, serious questions were raised on the working method of UPPSC, UPSSSC and Police Recruitment Board. Petitions were pending from the High Court to the Supreme Court. The Hon’ble Court had also questioned the methodology of the then government and commissions. At that time, Uttar Pradesh was called a sick state, but in reality there was then a system of sickness. Every section of the society was destroyed due to the state of indecision. He said that today, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a new Uttar Pradesh of New India, which is ready to support the country’s economy as a result of the government’s readiness, suchita and transparency.
CM Yogi while addressing the medical officers appointed in the Department of AYUSH said that Ayush, Ayurveda, Homeopathy and other traditional medical practices are part of India’s ancient heritage. Prime Minister Modi formed a separate ministry to promote these practices and today its results are being seen. An Ayush University has been established in Uttar Pradesh. Currently 2,114 Ayurveda, 254 Unani and 1,585 Homeopathy Hospitals are being operated. The work of AYUSH hospitals under construction in Lucknow and Pilibhit is in the final stages. In 15 districts, 50 Saiya Integrated Ayush Hospitals have started, while construction work is in progress in 3 districts. Along with this, 1,034 Ayushman Arogya temples have been established and yoga and wellness centers have been started in 225 Ayush hospitals.
Emphasizing the possibilities of health tourism in the field of Ayush, CM Yogi said that pure environment and abundant water resources in Uttar Pradesh are favorable for health tourism. We have made Uttar Pradesh number one in religious tourism, now we will take it to the top in health tourism. Ayush Hospital and Wellness Centers can become its new centers. He appealed to the medical authorities to preserve the ancient methods of Ayurveda and grandmother’s prescriptions and make people aware of natural farming and balanced lifestyle.
He distributed appointment letters to 96 junior laboratory assistants of FSL lab, saying that FSL Lab’s role is important in the three new laws implemented in July 2024. Evidence is necessary for any victim to get justice in time and punish the culprit. Earlier there were only 4 FSL labs in the state, now there are 12 and 6 are under construction. There is a plan to set up FSL lab at each range level and provide 2-2 mobile labs in each district. Along with this, Uttar Pradesh State Forensic Institute has been established, where diplomas and degree courses have been started. CM Yogi said that in the next 10 years, there will be no shortage of jobs in the country and the world for the students coming out of this institute.
Talking about the creation of employment with the honor of faith and heritage, CM Yogi said that in the success of Mahakumbh, the hard work of the personnel of all departments was seen. People from all over the world came to this 45 -day event and praised it. In areas like Kashi, Ayodhya, Chitrakoot, Gorakhpur, Naimisharanya, Mathura-Vrindavan and Sukh Tirtha, millions of people have got new employment opportunities. When we are proud of our heritage, the world joins him. Earlier people used to watch yoga with a good vision, but today 193 countries celebrate World Yoga Day.
Giving the example of Azamgarh, CM Yogi said that earlier the youth of Azamgarh did not get a place in the hotel or Dharamshala, but today technical staff is being selected for FSL lab. A new identity is being created in Azamgarh with Maharaj Suheldev University, Airport and better connectivity. He said that earlier governments used to create an identity crisis, but today our government is establishing youth on a global stage with new identity.
CM Yogi appealed to the newly elected candidates and said that after getting the appointment letter, do not think that it is your right not to do duty. You will get the fruits as you do. The service of the country is not from slogans or speeches, but by discharging its duties honestly. Set up the work you want to do tomorrow. He said that by working with readiness and transparency, the public will accept their working system and they will be able to touch new heights of success. CM Yogi, while wishing the newly elected candidates and their families, expressed confidence that they would contribute to making Uttar Pradesh the leading economy of the country.
